On Sunday we had no water.

It was a drag. But I went out to breakfast at Liberty House and had a salad and a scone and a latte, and started reading a new book about Burnout.

Later I made a pretty awesome dinner at home even though the water was still off.

June 18

In the morning, more turkey time. (It’s turkey time almost every day really.)

Later it rained a lot. When I went out to run an errand in the evening, I spotted this impressive fellow on the garage door:

Meg & friends

June 19 & 20

On Wednesday I went to my appointment. This is the bamboo next to the parking lot at Janelle’s new office on Clayton Street.

I miss the bamboo outside our old place.

Our backyard is pretty spectacular though.

It even has fairies ✨

Later Neko gave this paper ball a good pummeling.

internet shenannigans

Ok so, you may have heard about this, but apparently a Christian group got super heated up about Good Omens, because Aziraphale (an angel!) and Crowley (a demon!!) are friends, and Frances McDormand (a woman!!!) voices God, among other things. So they petitioned Netflix to cancel the series.

Netflix agreed not to make any more episodes… because of course they never made any; it’s an Amazon Prime show 😃

Many on Twitter were delighted. Here’s a thread by author Sam Sykes on the subject:

saturday stuff

Asparagus, goat chevre, and roasted red pepper scramble with raisin toast & guava juice.

I thought I might go see a movie, but there was nothing I wanted to see (without you anyway). What’s up with this title though. 🤔

Also, they’re doing “Is it wrong” wrong.

I hung out at home instead and made my own compelling film.

lego evolution

A bit of cultural commentary via tweeter. In rebuttal to the post some folks shared images of less-menacing cops from Lego sets of the same time period; nonetheless, I think the fact that they make figures like this at all still makes the point.
